This educational film tells the story of Texas from its earliest settlers to the early 20th century oil booms and cattle industry. The film highlights major pieces of Texas history, such as the Texas Revolution and Spindletop, as well as more minor towns and characters, including the German settlers of Fredericksburg, the story of Indian Emily at Fort Davis, and the mining operations of Terlingua, now a ghost town in West Texas. In addition to film footage of the Texas locations, the film also uses murals painted by renowned artist Eugene Montgomery to tell the stories of Texas.
