Mystery Video: March 2014

This month’s Mystery Video comes from the Ross S. Sterling Collection and features Governor Ross S. Sterling and Dolph Briscoe, Sr. driving their cattle across the Rio Grande River on the Chupadera Ranch, which they co-owned, that spread across Maverick and Dimmit counties. Prominent Texan men often hunted on the ranch as guests of Sterling and Briscoe throughout the late 1920s, and this video includes scenes of several of their guests. Do you recognize any of the men? Likely politicians, bankers, or business owners, these men are probably important to Texas history.
