"Exclusive pictures of the former Secretary of the Interior starting on the 400 mile auto trip to Santa Fe and the jail he helped build when he was in power in an ambulance, clad in pajamas…" [From original Universal Newsreel content sheet] Appointed Secretary of the Interior under President Warren G. Harding, Albert Fall was convicted of conspiracy and bribery and served a year in prison as a result of his failure to provide a competitive bidding process for access to the Naval Reserves of oil at Teapot Dome, Wyoming. A long-time resident of El Paso, Fall died in 1944 after a lengthy illness.
