This home movie footage from 1969 captures the Joseph family’s trips to Austin as well as home life in El Paso. First, the family visits the Capital City, driving around the Texas State Capitol Building and the University of Texas campus. The Josephs also venture out to the Texas Hill Country and Lake Travis. Next, the family flies from Austin to El Paso, departing from the now-closed Robert Mueller Municipal Airport. At their home in El Paso, the family plays with their many dogs and celebrates Easter with a neighborhood egg hunt. Then, the Josephs return to the Austin area, playing around Barton Springs and repelling down Enchanted Rock. Last, the family’s young daughter Janet performs in a pretend circus before graduating from nursery school.
