In this advertisement for Corrigan’s, the company announces a three-ring circus spectacular of jewelry, spotlighting everything from diamond bracelets to gold watches. Corrigan’s was an independent jeweler in Houston before being acquired by Zales Jewelers in 1944, making it the company’s first carriage trade store. (Zales is also a Texas-based company, founded in Witchita Falls and currently headquartered in Dallas.) Zales replaced the Corrigan’s brand with Bailey, Banks, and Biddle in the 1990s. Bert Rodriguez’s Dallas-based production company, Visual Presentations, produced the commercial. Rodriguez was also the producer of the Clio-Award-winning Old Home Bread commercials that introduced the world to C. W. McCall.
