This home movie from the 1980s captures the Feighery family taking part in a backyard Easter egg hunt and celebrating John, Jr.’s eighth birthday. The footage also includes a ride on the Wyler Aerial Tramway in El Paso’s Franklin Mountains State Park. The tramway opened in 1960 as the El Paso Aerial Tramway, with profits used to aid in the construction of a KTSM radio transmitter tower. Public operations ceased in 1986 as a result of rising liability insurance costs. In 1997, Karl O. Wyler, the tramway’s project manager, donated the complex to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, who subsequently renovated and re-opened the tramway in 2001.
