This industrial film, “Odyssey: A Quest for Energy”, documents the history of energy in the forms of coal, oil, natural gas, geothermal energy, and nuclear energy, explains how the various energy sources are made available from our natural resources, then explores possible futures for these energy industries in an effort to rely on domestic energy sources. The film was produced by the American Petroleum Institute and narrated by Rod MacLeish. MacLeish was a political commentator and journalist who worked for Westinghouse Broadcasting Co., CBS News, National Public Radio, and the Christian Science Monitor throughout his decades-long career.
