This feature film, the 17th of the 24 films in Monogram Pictures’ “Range Buster” series of Westerns, depicts the Range Busters in war times, tangling with Axis spies in Texas and abroad. When Range Busters Dusty, Davy, and Alibi are tasked with taking horses to the Philippines for service, they discover three spies trying to steal the horses in Texas before leaving. They also discover the ranch cook, Cookie, to be a Japanese spy, but he escapes to the Philippines. Once there, the Range Busters see Cookie conversing with Miller, a German spy, and discover that Texas rancher Ken Richards is also an Axis spy. They catch Cookie and break up the spy rings in both the Philippines and Texas. After being honored by the U.S. Government, the Range Busters hear the news of Pearl Harbor and immediately enlist.
