This 1959 home movie captures the Johnson family of Odessa on a trip to Yellowstone National Park and the Mountain West. Beginning in Yellowstone, the family visits several natural attractions, including Mammoth Hot Springs, Yellowstone Falls, and Dragon’s Mouth Spring. They also have several bear encounters. From Wyoming, the Johnsons then travel to Montana, Oregon, and Idaho, visiting the state capitol in each. Ending their vacation in Utah, the family explores Salt Lake City and takes a mountain hike.
