This unedited footage, taped by Dallas-based director Jim Ruddy for “Entertainment Tonight,” is of the 1996 Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders auditions. Ruddy interviews Kelli McGonagill Finglass, the director of the cheerleaders, about what she looks for in a cheerleader. Finglass explains that they are looking for pretty girls who are good dancers, but that they are also looking for girls with excellent showmanship, poise, the ability to be photogenic, and also the ability to represent the Cowboys organization, Texas, and even the country. The cheerleader hopefuls rehearse a routine in the background.
