This segment of a Channel 24 Action News broadcast for Austin’s KVUE-TV features a farewell message from anchor Ron Oliveira. Oliveira, a native of Brownsville, worked in news broadcasting in Texas for over 30 years, employed at several affiliate stations in Brownsville, Austin and Dallas. He also helped launch KNVA-TV, Austin’s CW affiliate, in 1994.
