This documentary film, from the Alexander Architectural Archives’ Texas Architectural collection, details issues concerning the substandard roads, highways, and bridges across the state of Texas. Interviews with community members as well as state and city leaders are scattered throughout the film, providing persuasive commentary on the need for road reconstruction.
As part of the Architecture and Planning Library, the Alexander Architectural Archives joins the vast research collections and services found within the University of Texas Libraries. The Alexander Architectural Archives supports scholarship and education about the history of designed and built environments by acquiring and preserving research collections and by making them accessible.
The Texas Architectural collection is an artificial collection of architectural records reflecting Texas projects that do not implicitly fall into already established collections in the Alexander Architectural Archive. Although this collection was formally established in 1999, much of the material was previously received by Professor Blake Alexander as part of The Texas Architecture Archive.
