This industrial film by the Caterpillar Tractor Co. advertises the durability and quality of its replacement parts. Caterpillar touts the strength of its production and supply chain, as well as its distribution system to convince buyers to purchase Caterpillar brand replacement parts for their Caterpillar equipment. The film highlights cylinder liners and ball bearings as good examples of parts that they are able to produce to high quality standards and use in machines that are created to be rebuilt instead of replaces. Caterpillar emphasizes its ability to create reliable machines and to replace parts with a minimum of downtime.
Formed in 1965, Bill Stokes Associates (later to be known as The Stokes Group) was a Dallas-based production company that made industrial and promotional films for a range of clients spanning from Mary Kay Cosmetics to the United States Navy.
