This home movie footage from 1946 captures scenes from the three-month-long walkout at the Consolidated Vultee Aircraft Corporation (CVAC) factory in Fort Worth. The strike was orchestrated by the local chapter of the International Association of Machinists, District 776. In the footage, workers congregate outside the entrance to the facility, holding picket signs and talking with other employees driving through the gate. Locally known as the Bomber Plant, the CVAC factory in Fort Worth was built in 1942 on the west side of what is now the Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base.
