In this unedtied interview for Austin’s KVUE-TV, Roy Faires sits down with actress Margot Kidder to talk about her latest film, Superman IV: The Quest for Peace (1987), in which Kidder plays Lois Lane. The film was the final installment of the original Superman film series and the last Superman film until Superman Returns (2006). In the interview, Kidder discusses her love for the Lois Lane character and what attracted her to the project. She also expresses her dissatisfaction with the industry, and particularly the big business mentality of studio heads that prioritizes profits over creativity. Faires worked as a special project director and entertainment critic/reporter at KVUE-TV, Austin’s ABC affiliate, from 1976-1989.
