In this unedited interview for Austin’s KVUE-TV, Roy Faires sits down with director Dennis Hopper to talk about his latest film, Colors (1988), starring Sean Pean and Robert Duvall. Hopper is also an Academy Award-nominated actor and writer. In the interview, Hopper discusses his reasoning for telling the story from the police’s point of view. He also describes his experience visiting Austin. Faires worked as a special project director and entertainment critic/reporter at KVUE-TV, Austin’s ABC affiliate, from 1976-1989.
