In this unedited interview for Austin’s KVUE-TV, Roy Faires sits down with actor Charles Martin Smith to talk about his latest film, The Untouchables (1987), starring Kevin Costner, Sean Connery, and Robert De Niro. In the interview, Smith discusses how he got into acting and his experiences working with directors such as George Lucas and John Carpenter. He also talks about his transition to directing his own projects. Faires worked as a special project director and entertainment critic/reporter at KVUE-TV, Austin’s ABC affiliate, from 1976-1989.
