This footage, taped by Dallas-based director Jim Ruddy for Entertainment Tonight, takes a behind-the-scenes look at the production of True Women, a 1997 television movie. True Women depicts the lives of three prominent Texas women—Sarah McClure (played by Dana Delany), Ephemia Ashby (Annabeth Gish), and Georgia Virginia Lawshe Woods (Angelina Jolie)—from the pioneer days of Texas through the Civil War and Reconstruction. Taped on set in San Antonio in October 1996, this clip features an unedited interview with Gish. During the interview, the actress discusses what attracted her to the script, the harrowing experience of her character, and her toughest challenge on set.
