This 1957 home movie captures the Baker family at a parade in downtown Houston, most likely celebrating the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Featured in the parade is actor Pat Brady, best known as Roy Rogers’ comical sidekick on The Roy Rogers Show. Brady was also a former member of the Sons of the Pioneers, a popular singing group. Brady appears at the wheel of his faithful car “Nellybelle,” a 1946 Willys CJ-2A Jeep that was arguably just as popular on the television series as some of its human and animal costars.
