This 1959 home movie features scenes from family trips to Juárez, Mexico, and Garner State Park, located outside of Concan. In Juárez, the family tours an empty rodeo arena and takes in a monument to the city’s namesake, Benito Juárez. Juárez, the 26th President of Mexico, saw the country successfully through the Battle of Puebla against the French, annually commemorated on Cinco de Mayo. The family later enjoys a day at Garner State Park, where they ride paddle boats on the Frio River alongside couple of chipper dogs.
