This home movie footage from the Museum of the Gulf Coast captures scenes from the 1956 and 1957 CavOILcade parades held in Port Arthur. The festival, which celebrates the oil industry in southeast Texas, featured musicians, school marching bands, and the CavOILcade Queen all riding on boats past their spectators before returning to land, as the parade traveled downtown. Rain forced the cancellation or postponement of some activities at the 1956 CavOILcade.
