  •  Aboard the Kraft Space Ship. In 1959, Kraft launched an ad-clipping contest offering children a variety of space-themed prizes, including telescopes and model kits. The grand prize was a spaceship simulator manufactured by Aerojet, a NASA contractor. The ship went on tour before going to its eventual winner—a young girl from St. Louis, Missouri. She donated it to her elementary school before the craft was ultimately moved to the lawn of the Missouri Department of Mental Health.

This 1961 home movie captures a family road trip through Texas and Arkansas. The Jones first stop in the small town of Leona, where they visit a farmhouse to visit with various relatives. Across the state border into Arkansas, the family patron the AQ Chicken House in Springdale and take in mountain vistas. The children then explore the Kraft Space Ship before the whole family settles down for a picnic.
