This 1960s home movie captures African-American schoolchildren before and after they receive a Catholic sacrament, most likely First Communion, at their Catholic school in Beaumont. Dutch Harris operates the camera, catching his daughter and her classmates both waiting in a classroom and filing out of the chapel. Back at the Harris home, the elder Harris daughter shows off her white First Communion dress.
