This 1960 home movie captures a group of young children riding a train to the San Jacinto Battlefield site in La Porte to celebrate Renee’s birthday. The partygoers visit a park, have a scenic overlook from the San Jacinto Monument’s observation deck, and walk around the monument base. Later, the young girls are shown pretending to steer the Battleship Texas.
