About the video Texas Locations Keywords Created by Harold Bell (of Smokey Bear), Glen Kovar, and Chuck Williams in 1970, Woodsy Owl is the owl mascot for the US Forest Service. His famous slogan, “Give a hoot, don’t pollute!” encouraged children to be more environmentally conscious. In this film, Woodsy attends a nature fair, where several children offer presentations on various environmental topics. Woodsy teaches the students about different types of pollution and vandalism.
