This NASA footage captures the extravehicular activity (EVA) by NASA astronaut Ed White during Gemini 4 on June 3, 1965. White floated outside the spacecraft for 20 minutes, becoming the first American to perform a space walk. Gemini 4 was NASA’s tenth manned and first multi-day space mission. James McDivitt served as Command Pilot with White as Pilot. The flight launched on June 3 and landed four days later.
