Adorned with over 30,000 beer cans, the Beer Can House of Houston was created by John Milkovisch over 18 years beginning after his retirement in 1968. After the death of John and his wife Mary, the Orange Show Foundation began repairs and restoration on the house with funds received from a 2005 grant from the Houston Endowment. With restoration complete, the Beer Can House reopened to the public in March, 2008. This footage includes an in-depth interview with Mary Milkovisch, wife of John Milkovisch, the creator of the Beer Can House in Houston. As she tours the house exterior and yard, Mrs. Milkovisch describes her husband and his creative techniques and marvels at the attention garnered by the house over the years.
