The proudest and biggest set of parents in the state of Texas are Jimmy and Jenny. Did we say Texas? We meant the state of bliss.
For they are the proud parents of Victoria, Vicki to her friends, the fifth gorilla to be born in the U.S., and only the ninth ever to be born in
captivity.
Vicki is a healthy baby, but Dallas Zoo authorities are taking no chances.
They'll keep her in the incubator for a few weeks to give her a good head start.
One thing is sure, her appetite is fine.
The zoo doctor said she's really beautiful, which only goes to prove that Vicki does not have a face only a mother could love.
Vicki's nurse, Edith O'Brian, is another of her fans and is on 24-hour call to administer to any of the famed baby's needs.
Now I ask you, "Have you ever seen a prettier baby?"
