In 1948 - 1949, Chance Vought relocated its operations from Stratford, Connecticut, to Dallas, Texas, where it moved into the wartime North American "B" Plant. The move was the largest industrial move to date, involving the transfer of over 13,000 tons of equipment and 1,300 employees over the course of 14 months. This film documents the monumental logistics required to bring the new Dallas plant up to production, recording the arrival and assembly of major factory components. In addition to scenes of the new industrial campus, the film is interspersed with scenes of Dallas and employees relaxing at the Belmont Hotel. Filled with inside humor and jokes, this film was most likely made to be shown to Vought employees or other industry insiders.
