Over the course of a year, the El Paso Sun Bowl encompasses five major events and up to 30 sanctioned special-interest activities. Produced by the Sun Bowl Association, this film presents a review of the five major Sun Bowl events of 1981. Included is coverage of the 8th Annual Sun Bowl College All-Star Golf Classic (held in 3rd week in November.) Also shown are the Tournament of Bands between high school marching bands from around the Southwest region of the United States, the winning floats and marching units of the 47th Sun Bowl Parade, Coronation of the Sun Queen and her court, footage of the Basketball Tournament (UTEP won), and the main event - play-by-play coverage of the highlights of the Oklahoma Sooner's 26-point victory over the Houston Cougars.
