This film presents a history of the Rose Queen and the evolution of the events that make up the Texas Rose Festival. The film is narrated by former Rose Queens, who describe their experiences and the purpose of the festival and ceremony, which ultimately is to promote the Tyler rose industry. Following the edited film is raw footage of interviews with some of the former Rose Queens.
