This advertisement produced by Visual Presentations for Justin Boots uses the rough environment of the rodeo arena to promote its selection of western boots and demonstrate their versatility and durability.
A mainstay of western wear, the Justin Boot Company had its beginnings in 1879 when Lafayette Indiana native H.J. Justin settled in Spanish Fort, TX, where he learned boot repair. Soon after, he began making boots and opened a boot company out of his house; among his clientel were cattlemen traveling the Chisholm Trail. In 1908 H.J.'s sons began working for the company, and took it over after his death in 1918. In 1925 the brothers moved the company's headquarters to its current home in Fort Worth. The company has continued to grow, acquiring competing boot brands, and in 2000 becoming part of Berkshire Hathaway.
