Mystery Video: July 2013

This month’s Mystery Video is The Ross S. Sterling Collection, no. 11 - Prominent Texans at Morgan’s Point from the collection of the former Texas governor Sterling.   This home movie captures scenes of a large group of men posing for a photograph in suits and tuxedos at the Sterling Mansion in Morgan’s Point. These men are most likely a “who’s who” of Texas business and politics, but we need your help in identifying them.

You can give us your feedback by commenting on the video page or, better yet, by using our TAMI Tagging system to give us a precise time code for your information. If you recognize a person, place, thing or event in the video, click on TAMI Tagging and a box will appear for you to enter your descriptive information. Use the Mark Video Segment feature below the video player to add a Begin and End mark to the segment you wish to tag.  Finish by clicking the Tag button.  Since tags and comments are moderated, they will not appear immediately, but information will be updated as soon as possible after receiving your input.

So, tell us what you see!  Your information will help us to improve the content and searchability of the Texas Archive of the Moving Image for all of its users.

Don’t forget to take a look at the tags contributed for last month’s mystery video, Headliners Club Annual Awards Banquet Video Montage (1988), and check back next month as we continue the mystery film series! Remember, you can also help us to identify details of other films by tagging or commenting on any video page.

Happy tagging and commenting!
