Seasonal Festivities in Grapevine

- Holiday Film Series at the Historic Palace Theatre - December 3rd - 29th

TAMI is thrilled to be taking part in this year’s installment of Grapevine’s annual Holiday Film Series. Before each feature film in this month-long series at the Palace Theatre, TAMI will be screening select holiday-themed footage from the Texas Film Round-Up. This includes home movie footage from a variety of eras of areas and Texas, public safety announcements, and special features from local news programs. The complete schedule of the feature films in the series is listed on TAMI’s event calendar and ticket information can be found on the City of Grapevine’s official site.

- “Preserving Texas Films” at the Grapevine Public Library - December 11th at 6 pm

TAMI offers a free educational program at 6pm at the Grapevine Public Library as a lead-in to that evening’s screening of “It’s A Wonderful Life” at the nearby Palace Theatre.  This program will provide an overview of care and handling techniques for film and video, as well as information on the Texas Film Round-Up’s free digitization program and other resources available through TAMI.

Sprocket Society at the Alamo Drafthouse at the Ritz - December 9th

TAMI is excited to be cosponsoring another exciting program with the Alamo Drafthouse's Sprocket Society.  This month's program will highlight “Dangerous Films,” specifically footage shot on highly combustible nitrate film stock. TAMI will be sharing nitrate holdings screened from newly restored 35 mm prints from the historically significant Sloane Collection, which were recently restored through a grant from the National Film Preservation Foundation. Visit the Drafthouse’s website for ticketing information. Cancelled - Look for a rescheduled event in January.
