The Daughter of Dawn (1920)
Considered lost for decades, this recently restored Texas-produced film stars an all-Indian cast of Kiowas and Comanches, including White Parker and Wanada Parker, the son and daughter of Quanah Parker. After the screening of the film, a speaker panel featuring Dr. Caroline Frick and Dr. Elizabeth Bird will discuss cinema and its representation of Native Americans as well as archival and historical implications for celebrity and public memory.
