This home movie from the House floor shows an informal look at the workings of the early 1970s Texas House of Representatives, the legislators, and their sideburns.

Born in 1937 in Jacksonville, Rayford Price served as the 68th Speaker of the Texas House of Representative from 1972-1973. During his tenure, Price emphasized the reform of House rules in order to reduce entrenched power and seniority.
