Produced by the Tyler Rose Museum for use in its exhibits, this film features 1991 Rose Queen, Ashley Jean Powell, and includes footage of the Queen's Coronation Ceremony, Queen's Tea, and 1991 Rose Parade held in Tyler, Texas. The rose industry began in Tyler near the turn of the century and, currently, approximately one-fifth of the nation's commercial rose bushes are produced in Smith County. The Tyler Rose Museum is the home for Tyler's unique rose history, with videos and photographs chronicling the area's agricultural history and Rose Festival memorabilia and hand-sewn costumes dating back to 1935. The museum's interactive displays and theaters bring October's Annual Texas Rose Festival to life year ‘round.
