This home movie provides a look into the lives of the Withers family as they carry on with their routines of work and play. Included amongst these images are cheerleaders practicing or at a small football game and trail riders headed to the Fat Stock Show in Houston. The bulk of the footage is of daily life on the family ranch, especially dams with their foals.
The films present in the George Withers collection represent only a fraction of the total amount of footage once belonging to the Withers family; these remaining films are those that survived the devastation of Hurricane Ike, though many of the films suffered some degree of damage.
