This film captures soldiers and Vietnamese women at the Freedom Hill Post Exchange at Da Nang.
The Marcellus Hartman Collection consists of over 300 Super 8 films made by Hartman, a Texan, while serving in the military in Vietnam in the early 1970s. The films document everyday life at Camp Evans, capturing the comings and goings of soldiers and others who worked on the base, helicopters arriving and taking off, and images of the surrounding landscape from Hartman's visits to cities and other military locations in Vietnam.
