Filmed in 1939 by an unknown Galveston family, this home movie captures scenes of daily life on the island. Footage includes family and children, ship activity in the harbor, and even a calf-roping event at a small rodeo. These films are part of the collection courtesy of native Galvestonian and current Austin resident Richard Eisenhour, who discovered and bought them on Ebay in 2011. The family in the film and the person who shot the footage are unknown, but they are mainly shot in-and-around Galveston.
