Created by the Department of Agriculture, Federal Extension Service in 1934, this silent footage shows people selected from relief roles working at community work centers under the auspices of the Federal Emergency Relief Administration. Reel 2 depicts workers tanning and curing hides, renovating cotton mattresses, and canning peanut butter and jams.
